Susan McDowell is CEO of LifeWorks, a fearless advocate for youth and families on their journeys to self-sufficiency in Austin, TX. LifeWorks provides a wide range of programming to support housing, mental health and education/workforce and is a leader in Austin’s movement to End Youth Homelessness by 2020.

Susan has been recognized as “Austinite (Under 40) of the Year,” and “Central Texas Social Entrepreneur of the Year.” She is a Marshall Memorial Fellow was recently awarded the Anita and Earl Maxwell Lifetime Achievement Award for Ethics in Business. Susan holds a B.A. and M.A. from Vanderbilt University and the University of Texas-Austin, respectively.
