Bio

Amanda Carlisle is Executive Director of the Washtenaw Housing Alliance, a unique coalition of more than 30 community-based organizations that serve those experiencing homelessness or those at risk of homelessness in Washtenaw County. In this role, she works to create greater efficiencies in the homeless system of care, and advocates for resources and effective policy-making from local, state, and federal entities involved in affordable housing and homelessness.

Prior to joining the WHA, Amanda served as Program Coordinator for the Homeless Action Network of Detroit (Detroit, MI) and as Director of Projects for the Chicago Alliance to End Homelessness – now called All Chicago (Chicago, IL). She holds a master’s degree in Urban Planning & Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a B.A. in Political Science from Clemson University.
