As the Director of the Office of Homeless Initiatives for the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, Division of Housing, Kristin guides the state’s vision and efforts to make homelessness rare, brief, and one-time by managing housing and homeless services resources and by providing leadership to communities regarding homeless response strategies.

Prior to Division of Housing, Kristin served six years as a Senior Program Officer at the Robin Hood Foundation in New York City. She managed the foundation’s grants involving housing, homelessness, and related services. Before Robin Hood, Kristin spent four years working at Breaking Ground (formerly Common Ground), a national leader in programming and housing that supports individuals experiencing homelessness. Kristin served as Community Director of Common Ground's Street to Home Program. Previously, she worked with several nonprofits, focusing on mental health and other social services. Kristin earned her Masters in Public Administration at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and is a graduate of Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Psychology.
