Jonathan Whitted currently serves as an Assistant Director of a SSVF program in Washington, DC called Veterans First at Friendship Place. While working in the Veterans First program, he has managed a team of case managers and specialists. He enjoy educating and supporting staff as they provide services to homeless veterans in the DC metro area. He has worked with different CoCs in their efforts to create by name lists, establish case conferencing, improve their coordinated entry system and effectively end veteran homelessness. At Friendship Place, Jonathan also served as a PSH case manager in their Neighbors First program. Before coming to Friendship Place, he served as a mental health case manager for adults in the communities of the City of Roanoke, Montgomery County, and Giles County in Virginia. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and holds a BS degree in Human Development and Psychology.
