Bio

Blair is the Executive Director of the Youth Empowered Society, a drop-in center created by youth experiencing homelessness. In this role, he supports a team that provides case management, workforce development, and rapid rehousing services to youth experiencing homelessness; develops and supports youth leadership; and engages in systems-level reform across the city and state. Blair currently sits on the Advisory Board of Baltimore Racial Justice Action, an organization working against racism & other forms of institutional oppression through programming, training, and consultation; and on the national Advisory Board of the ViiV Healthcare ACCELERATE Initiative, a multi-level city-wide intervention strategy for addressing HIV among Black gay and bisexual men in Baltimore, Maryland and Jackson, Mississippi. He previously spent four years on the Board of Directors of Free State Justice, a legal advocacy organization that seeks to improve the lives of low-income LGBTQ Marylanders. In 2014 he received a BMe Community Award for his work with GLSEN Baltimore and was recognized as one of the 100 Black LGBTQ/SGL Emerging Leaders to Watch by the National Black Justice Coalition.
