Pilar Barreyro is driven by the goal to dismantle discriminatory institutions and policies that continue to oppress historically marginalized communities across the US. Before joining the Point Source Youth team she oversaw anti-discrimination campaigns at DoSomething.org, where she activated the organization's 6 million members around racial justice and criminal justice reform issues. She is currently the Associate Director Northeast & Strategic Communications at Point Source Youth where she works in eight states across the Northeast US providing advocacy, technical assistance and research for organizations providing host homes, rapid re-housing and/or family & kinship strengthening to youth experiencing homelessness. Pilar holds a B.A. in African American Studies and Spanish Literature from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree in Human Rights from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
