Harold Sims stemmed from humble beginnings and attended DC Public schools in southeast Washington, DC. He went on to work for the National Institute of Health at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital while he trained at the Computer Learning Center to become a Programmer/Analyst. Harold later started undergraduate studies at the University of the District of Columbia. Harold has traveled throughout the United States and lived and worked in Denver, Atlanta, Amarillo, Houston, Dallas, New Orleans and Los Angeles.

He met the Love of his life Janice in 1980 and they married in 1985. Harold and Janice were dedicated to family with three children residing in suburban Prince George’s County. They were the proud parents of Renee, Nicole, and Rajah and grandparents to Zachary, Mykal and Lionel. In 2016 Janice succumbed after her three-year battle with cancer leaving Harold recently widowed.

Harold is now living as a retired gentleman, but continues to remain active as a consultant and contractor in the area of Information Systems. He is a active volunteer in the community and he serves on the Executive Board at Friendship Place and also on the Executive Parish Counsel at Holy Family Church in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland.
