Bio

Kellie Cole is a Licensed Masters Social Worker with a background in veteran homelessness, children and youth mental health, and project management focusing on system changes. She is currently the Continuum of Care Planning Director for Community Alliance for the Homeless (CAFTH) in Memphis, TN. Kellie has had multiple roles at CAFTH including the former Project Director for the Memphis Strong Families Initiative, which was a federal demonstration project entitled Partnerships to Demonstrate the Effectiveness of Supportive Housing for Families in the Child Welfare System. As a sustainability effort to this demonstration grant, Kellie played a critical role in bringing innovative housing solutions to a complex problem of reducing out-of-home care in the child welfare system. This involved intentionally cultivating relationships, thinking outside the box, and consistently moving ideas into action steps. In her previous role as the Family and Youth Programs Administrator, she led the way in developing system maps for families and youth, analyzing gaps, and all the while always looking for process improvements. Recently, she has provided community-wide training on Trauma-Informed Care and ensured that all the CoC committees are goal-driven and action-oriented.
