Jennifer Reason is the Program Director at Safe Haven Family Shelter, a program that offers housing and services to families experiencing homelessness in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Kettering, Ohio, Jennifer moved to Nashville in 1999 to attend Belmont University. After graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor in Social Work, she spent several years working in both a community mental health setting and a nursing home/rehab center. During this time, Jennifer married Eric Reason, a local musician/woodworker. In 2008, she took the position of Program Director at Safe Haven and has since assisted in the growth of the program from serving around 30 families per year to over 200 families per year and increased the staff size from one social worker to 8 case managers and additional support staff. During her time at Safe Haven, Jennifer also attended graduate school and holds an MSW from TSU, along with adding two beautiful children to her family.
