Lucius Couloute is an assistant professor at Suffolk University in Boston, MA. His primary research interests include systems of criminalization and prisoner reentry. Lucius’ published and forthcoming research examines both the ideological forces and structural barriers contributing to a local prisoner reentry field. Lucius is also a policy analyst with the Prison Policy Initiative where he has published three reports examining employment, education, and homelessness among formerly incarcerated people.
