After spending 8 months as a street homeless veteran I became interested in the policies which positively impact the homeless services delivery system. That experience led me to managing a 90 bed homeless shelter in Bend, Oregon and graduate school for a Masters in Nonprofit Management (2010). For the past ten years I've been privileged to lead the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society in Albany, New York. Our agency operates; 110 units of supported housing, 26 units of rapid re-housing, prison re-entry programming, mental health programs, a furniture bank, cold weather homeless programming and coordinated entry.
