Kevin Solarte is a Senior Program Manager at CSH, providing federal technical assistance on youth homelessness. He was most recently a special assistant to the Deputy Commissioner of Policy and Strategy at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development where he was helping to advance the City’s plan to build and preserve 300,000 affordable homes by 2026. Previous to working with the city, Kevin worked in Washington, D.C. in the Secretary’s Office at HUD focusing on youth and family homelessness, domestic violence and housing, and education and housing. Kevin received his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington in Seattle. After graduating he worked for Casey Family Programs where he focused on conducting system assessments for state, county, and tribal child welfare systems in order to help improve child welfare outcomes.
